A few days ago, one of my clients sent an email that he wanted me to critique.
He expected me to rip it to shreds. He prepared himself for the worst. To his amazement, I wrote him back, telling him that he “kicked ass.”
He captured the emotion of a real-life experience and communicated it to the readers in a way that will “pump them up.”
Said client sent the email to his list, and for the first time ever, an avalanche of inquiries and orders came in.
He was stunned.
How could something so simple be so effective? How could everyone else be missing out on the fun?
There are many wallet-fattening techniques I teach in my email copywriting course – a course wherein you can hear me critiquing people LIVE – correcting their errors before they are sent – so you don’t end up making them either.
Not saying my client will never write something that I can adjust or correct. But it sure does feel fantastic when you write something magical straight out of the gate – and it rocks the cash bar.
That, my friend, is something I’m getting used to hearing about more and more these days. And I love it when that happens.
