I’ve been doing a 5 x 5 workout lately.
I do it every morning, first thing and it only takes about 5 minutes – and that includes the rest time in between exercises.
In the olden days, a 5 x 5 workout for powerlifters was all the rage. It produced damn good results.
But, as you know, I’m no fan of the bench press, the barbell squat – and most definitely, I am NOT a fan of deadlifting. I think it’s the wooooooooorsssssst exercise of the three – and they’re all bad.
I realize there are those who would stake their livelihoods on the exercises listed above, but overall, these exercises turn your body into a piece of furniture.
They make you stiffer, tighter and much more injury prone.
That’s not the case with my 5 x 5 system.
